Video conferencing enhances ease, speed of customer contact
As part of our commitment to investment and innovation, FB Johnston Graphics has installed a
state-of-the-art conferencing system that will greatly enhance point-to-point communication
between FBJ, our customers and suppliers, regardless of location. Encompassing video conferencing
as well as digital data and image transfer, this service will increase service response time as well
as streamline critical document management.
The Polycom video conferencing system FBJ has just installed is a high-performance alternative to costly
business travel when face-to-face meetings are critical, said Jim O'Rourke, company president. "Not only
can we speak directly with a customer who may be located halfway around the world from our offices, but we
can also view high-resolution documents with them, such as product specification sheets, spreadsheets or
multi-media presentations, just as if we were seated in the same room," O'Rourke stated. "We've already made
it a part of regular communications between both our SC and NC facilities. Cutting back the hours we spend
on travel enables us to jump on projects that much faster." The system includes a network of video monitors,
cameras, scanners, and recorders, and is accessible via high-speed dialup and data networks.
Up and running since mid-May, the video conferencing system is just the first phase of an ongoing investment
in time-saving communications services. "We've been quite pleased with the performance of these systems so
far," O'Rourke continued, "enabling us to fulfill our quality commitment by providing innovative yet dependable
solutions for our customers." Future plans include integrated voice, fax and electronic mail messaging, expanded
online account management, and much more. Contact your FBJ Account Manager to see how our new systems can benefit
your relationship with us. |
