White Hen Pantry is the most recognized convenience-store
brand in the Chicago, IL, area, famous for its full-service
delis and in-store bakeries which provide freshly prepared
sandwiches and breads along with soups, salads, and
gourmet coffees, along with its large variety of name-brand
household items, fresh produce, and frozen foods. A
subsidiary of Clark Retail Enterprises, White Hen is
franchised in over 300 locations in Chicago as well
as New England. FB Johnston Graphics has provided permanent
and temporary point-of-sale items for White Hen and
other Clark Retail brands since 1998, comprising signage
for gasoline, candy, deli meats and sandwich promotions.
Among the many printed products we provide are shelf
talkers, pump toppers, window banners, cooler-door inserts,
shelf danglers, window bills, and sandwich labels.
White Hen needed a reliable graphics vendor who could
meet their complex advertising schedule of monthly promotions,
offer innovative product ideas and solutions for in-store
graphics, and provide trust-worthy, on-time signage
management and delivery. FBJ proposed the use of our
customized inventory software program to manage signage
for their stores, and a dedicated account team that
would be available full-time to develop, schedule, and
manage each month's promotions. One early FBJ new product
development project involved the development of re-usable,
durable signage for large-scale promotions that could
be planned ahead and printed on two sides, so that store
merchandisers could simply flip one month's sign over
for the second month's promotion. Since then FBJ has
developed unique signage displays for countless new
products, such as their self-serve bistro soups, specialty
sandwiches, coffees and juices.
Currently, White Hen has a dedicated toll-free number
available at FBJ for store merchandisers to order permanent
signage and labels. FBJ manages all standard printed
products for White Hen, including sandwich labels, credit
applications, and store hour signs, among many others.
In addition, FBJ's dedicated account manager for White
Hen uses our proprietary inventory management software,
POPS™, to maintain a continuously updated store
database. From this database the FBJ account manager
determines production quantities of promotional signage
and ships the exact quantities necessary for each unique
White Hen location. Developed to fit like a glove over
customer expectations, FBJ's customized signage program
for White Hen has provided nearly 100% accurate kit
pack and on-time delivery.
